Buoy Beacon Flasher Kit
Here is a great kit to bring a Harbor scene to life. The kit includes a preprogrammed MicroComputer with sequences that simulate five actual USCG Lighted Buoy Flashing Patterns. Five LED Buoys can be operated from this one kit. Light patterns & Colors are an integral part of the U.S. Aid to Navigation System that allow for nightime identification of harbor features. This helps Boating traffic identify their position in a waterway by the flashing pattern and color of the buoy(s) on their chart. The kit allows for up to 5 LEDs to be operated at the same time, each flashing a unique pattern!
U.S. Aid to Navigation Patterns Included:
Output 1= Occulting Flashing on and off where the on time exceeds the off time
Output 2= Fl-2 Two Flashes and a pause and then repeat
Output 3= FL 2+1 Two Flashes pause and then third Flash, pause and repeat
Output 4= Isophase Flash on and Off where on and off times are equal lengths
Output 5= Quick Flashing Q
Unit can be used with any or all of the above patterns at one time to flash individual LEDs on each output.
Great for HO and N Buoys Beacons. Assembly is fairly simple due to the small number of parts.
Don't have room on your layout! You can always make a backdrop showing a small Buoy in the distance with the LED mounted in the backdrop for a great effect
Kit requires assembly, but can be purchased assembled and tested as an option.

The completed circuit board is 3/4" wide, 2" long and about 1/2" high.
The kit comes complete with Circuit Board, Components,
Five 3mm LEDs (3 Red & 2 Green), a Pre-Programmed MicroController IC,
LED and Power leads and Assembly Instructions.
This kit requires soldering to assemble the kit. A 15-30 watt soldering iron is recommended.
